Linda Jones is a self-taught Canadian artist and instructor. She began painting when her three children were young, and progressed to teaching about 20 years ago.
Linda is eager to implement new techniques in her painting and take risks with her style, which ranges from soft realism to abstract expressionism. Linda’s latest body of work is a fusion of form, colour and texture inspired by the rich beauty of nature. Linda transforms her canvas into sculptural and tactile trees, flowers and landscapes.
In 2008, Linda was chosen as one of the top ten artists of the year by Trout Unlimited and in 2009 she was awarded gold at the Burns Bog Society’s 8th annual Women of Distinction and the Spirit of the Cranes awards.
Linda Jones resides in Ladner, B.C. Her work can be found in collections across Canada, the United States, Australia, Japan and England. The Mountain Galleries is proud to carry the work of inspired Canadian artist, Linda Jones.
